My Story
I wasn't always a "math person." In fact, I struggled with math early in my education. I remember the frustration of staring at problems that made no sense, memorizing formulas I didn't understand, and feeling like everyone else just "got it" while I was left behind.
That struggle became my greatest teacher. When I finally found teachers who explained the why behind the what, everything clicked. I realized that math isn't about memorizingâit's about understanding patterns and relationships. And once you see those patterns, math becomes almost... beautiful.
I started tutoring in college, initially just to help friends. But I quickly discovered something: the way I explained thingsâdrawing from my own experience of struggleâhelped others understand in a way traditional teaching hadn't. I wasn't just teaching math; I was teaching how to think about math.
Over the years, I refined my approach into what I now call The 7-Step Teaching Method. It's a systematic framework that takes any conceptâno matter how abstractâand makes it concrete, understandable, and memorable.
Today, I've helped over 500 students overcome their math struggles, from elementary basics to advanced calculus. I've trained 200+ teachers in my method. And I've seen again and again that with the right approach, anyone can succeed at math.
My mission is simple: to change how math is taught, one lesson at a time. Whether you're a student looking for help or a teacher wanting to improve, I'm here to help you see that math can make sense.
My Teaching Philosophy
The principles that guide everything I do
Understanding Over Memorization
I believe every student can understand math when it's taught the right way. Memorizing formulas without understanding is a dead end.
Meeting Students Where They Are
Every student is different. I adapt my approach to each person's learning style, pace, and current level of understanding.
Building Confidence
Math anxiety is real. My goal isn't just to teach mathâit's to help students believe they can succeed at it.
